The aim of the proposed workshop is to bring together researchers working on real-time communication, storage, and caching techniques for contemporary video.

The focus of the workshop will be on networking and communication layer techniques to tackle the recent explosive growth in video traffic, particularly over wireless networks. Researchers working on real-time communication, storage, and caching techniques for contemporary video are particularly encouraged to participate.

The workshop will be held in conjunction with the logo Infocom Conference 2014, in Toronto Canada. The following topics are of particular interest:

  • Video over Wireless
  • Sequential Source and Channel Coding Techniques
  • Application Layer FEC (Raptor Codes, Streaming Codes etc)
  • Delay-Aware Network Coding
  • Distributed Storage and Caching
  • HTTP Adaptive Streaming
  • P2P streaming and live streaming
  • Cross‐Layer Rate‐Delay Tradeoffs
  • Delay‐Optimized Routing
  • Multicast for Video Delivery
  • Scheduling Techniques for Video
  • Network Utility Maximization
  • Experimental Results in Multimedia Streaming
