Summary

In this talk, I'll discuss the Australian Bureau of Statistics' current framework for allowing access to confidentialised microdata, and our plans for the future. We are considering a new framework, which will include an 'analysis service'. While developing this service, we will face a number of challenges. These challenges will include: determining the best approach for confidentialising analytical output, allowing access to a wide range of analyses while maintaining confidentiality, ensuring that users' requirements are met, allowing access to appropriate diagnostic techniques, and developing measures of utility loss.
